[ Ссылка ] Recently 2 dear clients of mine lost their parents I helped one to
go through their things and get them prepared for donation.
The other has asked me to help them go through all the boxes that has been sent from Florida to her house in New Jersey.
Both women are completely overwhelmed and emotionally spent. Anyone who has gone through this knows it is a difficult time.
Their parents were not hoarders or even Organizationally Challenged, and still it was very difficult to deal with the many belongings they had.
Not only is it one of the kindest things you can do for your loved ones to only keep what you love and be a minimalist but you will discover that it is truly one of the most loving things you can do for yourself.
It is giving yourself a freedom that you never dreamed possible.
Here is something to accomplish this year... Start at your front door and go clockwise. Set a timer for 15 minutes and make some decisions about things you own and live with.
If you don't love it, and or if it doesn't fit in your home, if it is broken. Or if it is a piece of paper, ANY PAPER...Donate it! Get rid of it file it and name it.
If you will ever have any plans in your lifetime to do something different, move to another city, or country, start a new career, make a dream happen, you would be surprised how 'belongings' can stop you from making anything you dream of doing a reality.
