Gender inequality is particularly evident in rural areas. Rural women face more restrictions than men in accessing key production resources, property rights, land, equipment as well as funding. Public institutions need to strengthen their commitment to eliminating discrimination and providing access to rights for women in rural areas. Supreme audit institutions play a key role in holding governments accountable to the national and international commitments for the implementation of SDG 5 and Agenda 2030. The Supreme Audit Institutions of North Macedonia, Albania and Kosovo signed a trilateral agreement and carried out a cooperative gender audit to assess policies and measures for inclusion of rural women on the labour market. #GenderBudgeting #GenderResponsiveBudgeting #GRB
