On May 14, executives and guests of Express, Inc. visited the New York Stock Exchange to celebrate the companys initial public offering (IPO). Express began trading on Thursday, May, 13, 2010, under the ticker symbol EXPR after its successful IPO, which raised $272 million in total proceeds.
To celebrate the days special occasion and 30 years of fashion, Express, Inc., President and Chief Executive Officer, Michael Weiss rang The Opening Bell. A fashion show highlighting the companys fall collection took place outside of the New York Stock Exchange at 12:30 p.m. EDT.
