Can someone with just a Private Pilot Certificate be involved in piloting an aircraft in aviation missions? Aviation missions usually “require” at least a Commercial Pilot Certificate; plus oftentimes, an Airframe and Powerplant certification added to that. This video will delve into (and simplify) the complex subject of the FAA “compensation and hire” rules, and show how to stay legal as a Private Pilot. This video is also intended to encourage people to think outside the box of our traditional mindset concerning aviation missions; while still trying to remain inside the box of FAA regulations.
