Today European air space is very busy, highly fragmented and used by many different users with different needs and objectives. To cope with the growing demand for air travel, the architecture of the air traffic management has to be reformed.
The Single European Sky (SES) initiative and especially SESAR (SES Air Traffic Management Research) is building the European ATM of the future and this concerns all type of users, each of them with their own characteristics.
This video aims to provide an understanding about the variety of military missions, their differences from commercial air traffic and the resulting efforts necessary to integrate the requirements of Military Mission Trajectories and 4D Business Trajectories into the relevant SESAR developments.
