Kickstarter campaigns pretty much always ship late.
Back in late 2012, a CNN article made the rounds saying that “84% of Kickstarter’s top projects shipped late.”
A 2022 research paper by Sieuwert Van Otterloo found that only “30% of projects are fulfilled or delivered on time or with less than a six month delay.”
That means 7 in 10 shipped more than 6 months late. That’s an overwhelming majority!
