In just minutes this overheated lithium-ion (LiB) e-bike battery explodes in a fiery rage at shocking temperatures over 1,000F. That’s thermal-runaway, when cells inside Li-batteries overheat past the point of no return. It can happen when Li-batteries get over-charged, damaged, or malfunction. Imagine if this was in YOUR HOUSE. Don’t take that chance! #PBCFR warns, if you have Li-battery powered mobility devices (e-bikes, e-scooters, golf carts, hoverboards, etc.) – ALWAYS CHARGE OUTSIDE (at least 10’ ft from structures & anything that can burn) only with product’s original chargers and cords that come with the device (don’t borrow from another), plug directly into the outlet with GFCI (extension cords can overheat), AND when fully charged – use timers as reminders and unplug ASAP!
