The Balsam is a lovely flowering plant. It is easy to grow and does not require much maintenance.

The leaves of balsam are bright green in colour. The blooms are almost similar to rose flowers and from far they look like roses. The best part of the plant is the process of scattering seeds from their seed pods.

Medicinally, seeds and stem are used to promote blood circulation and to provide relief from sore throats.
