Shish Kebab is one of the popular dishes served in Turkish restaurants. I am going to show you how to make chicken shish kebab at home. If you have a grill or cast iron griddle, you can cook it there too. But this time I am going to cook it in the oven with a potato side dish together. Perfect Turkish menu for dinner or iftar as we are in Ramadan month right now.
Ingredients For Turkish Chicken Shish Kebab: (3-4 serving)
1 big boneless chicken breast (cut in big cubes)
1 tbsp plain yogurt
1 tsp tomato paste
1/2 to 1 tsp each cumin, sweet or hot paprika
1 tsp oregano
less than 1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp kori (optional)
2 tbsp olive oil
cherry tomatoes, sweet green and red peppers
big wooden skewers
For The Potato Side Dish:
4-5 medium-size potatoes
less than 1 tsp salt
sweet paprika or red pepper flakes
1-2 tsp cornflour (optional, you can also use all-purpose flour)
2 cloves of garlic
4-5 tbsp olive oil
baking paper for the baking tray
