Demilitarization of Sirte and Al Jufra is being discussed as a solution to the deadlock persisting between Turkey's stance to press ahead with Sirte offensive and Russia and Egypt's resolve to protect the red lines of Sirte and Al Jufra air base in Libya war. Secretary General of the UN and Foreign Minister of Germany have proposed the demilitarization of Sirte and Al Jufra as a solution to Libyan conflict. Sirte is being proposed as a buffer zone between Eastern and Western Libya. Will Turkey and GNA agree to demilitarization of Sirte or demilitarization of both Sirte and Al Jufra as a middle way to end Libya war? Will Russia agree to withdraw from Al Jufra air base?
