The African continent is home to 60 per cent of the world's arable land, but with on-going infrastructural and financial challenges it remains a net importer of agricultural produce. Despite these challenges experts believe that through engagement and collaboration Africa does have the potential to transform itself from a food importer into a global breadbasket.
