Whitewater, Wisconsin, is a location with a wealth of folklore related to witchcraft, to the point where it has become known as a "Second Salem". However, not many people realize that there is a rich history behind this folklore, a history of religious movements, psychic mediums, and necromancy. Not many people realize a practicing necromancer served as territorial governor. Fewer still realize the importance such necromantic practices had on Wisconsin's iron industry.
