Class A1 Pacific 60163 Tornado heads The Silver Jubilee Talisman north up the ECML on Saturday 26th September 2015. We see the express just to the south of Claypole where the loco was due to take water. I had hoped to catch a second shot to the north of its stop but arrived in time to see it setting off after an extremely rapid water stop and couldn't get any camera gear set up.
Tornado is preceded by a selection of "more modern" trains, although the Pacific is, in fact, the newest of them all !
