On Sunday 30 November 2014, Willemstad, the capital of Curaçao, one of the Dutch Caribbean islands, hosted the first edition of the KLM Curaçao Marathon; the first on the island. The running event for people of all ages, and businesses comprised a unique course as well as lots of musical support from start to finish. Participants in the KLM Curaçao Marathon could choose between various distances: 5 K (walk & run), 10 K (walk & run), a half marathon, a full marathon single and in duo, or a 15 K Trail. The event welcomed participants from all over the world.
Linda Metzemaekers from Holland won the 7 day trip and succesfully ran the full marathon distance; chapeau Linda !
