New sub-4-meter offering from Mahindra is going to compete with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport and the Tata Nexon which are some of the well-establishe SUVs.
As you must be aware, the Mahindra XUV 300 is based on the same X100 platform as that of the SsangYong Tovoli. And it is not that hard to see the resemblance that the XUV300 bears with the Korean counterpart when you look at it from the outside. However, Mahindra has thoroughly re-engineered the XUV 300 for the Indian market. Despite the same resembling to the Tivoli in term of its exterior design, almost all of its body panels are new.
Good quality materials used inside the cabin!
Despite being placed in the sub-compact SUV segment and despite being a Mahindra product, the quality of the materials used inside the cabin of this vehicle is surprisingly quite good. All the touch-points inside the cabin offer decent feedback. Also, the feedback from the various buttons and knobs is also quite positive. That said, you can still find some hard plastics used in the lower portion of the dashboard and central.
