Welcome to the Happybasins Jungleroom!
Greetings! I’m Amy Benzi, and I’m thrilled to introduce you to our happybasins jungleroom, home to our beloved happy basin emerald tree boas. We affectionately call them "happybasins" due to their calm and relaxed dispositions. These beautiful creatures are not just pets; they serve as ambassadors for their species, helping to dispel common fears about snakes.
The Joy of Sharing
I created the happybasins YouTube channel to share my passion for these gentle creatures and their captivating behaviors. Through our videos, I’ll take you on adventures to the Amazon rainforest, where I search for emerald tree boas in their natural habitat. I’ll also highlight the endearing moments of our little green iguana, Zsa Zsa, who brings her own charm to our family.
Our happybasins are free to explore and roam in their jungle room, and you’ll often find me watching them as they slither and investigate their surroundings. Sometimes, I even sleep in a hammock in the jungleroom, enjoying the soothing presence of these magnificent snakes above me.
Interactive Ambassadors
Our emerald tree boas aren’t just wonderful companions for me; they play a vital role as ambassadors for all snakes. Many people who visit us experience feelings of appreciation, comfort, joy, and love during their interactions with our happybasins. For many, this is their first experience with snakes, and they often leave feeling a newfound respect and understanding.
Visitors frequently describe their encounters with our emeralds as majestic and precious, often noting how calming the experience is. This unique interaction challenges common misconceptions about snakes, transforming fear into fascination.
Adventures in the Amazon
I also take our mission beyond the jungleroom by traveling to the Amazon rainforest. There, I observe the wild emerald tree boas in their natural environment. Every snake I encounter in the wild is returned to its habitat, ensuring their safety and wellbeing. Some of these wild emeralds even serve as temporary ambassadors, helping to educate locals about the importance of these creatures. Many individuals who once thought they’d never touch a snake have found themselves drawn to these gentle beings, often proclaiming a newfound love for them.
In my experience, wild northern emerald tree boas exhibit the same relaxed and inquisitive nature as our captive-bred happybasins. They are equally gentle and comfortable to handle, making them excellent representatives for their species.
Meet Zsa Zsa
In addition to our emerald tree boas, we have another delightful green ambassador: our little Zsa Zsa. This charming green iguana is a superstar in her own right! Always eager to interact with visitors, Zsa Zsa is a fantastic example of how reptiles can be engaging companions.
Zsa Zsa enjoys her sunny spot by the living room window, where she keeps an eye on our Sulcata tortoises and Aztec kingsnakes. Her sociable nature makes her a favorite among our visitors, and you can expect to see plenty of her adorable antics featured on our channel.
