PMDG 737 NGX – Descent Management and High Energy Approach Tutorial

Ever wanted to know how Boeing 737-800 pilots deal with shortcuts and being held high by ATC during Descent and Approach? This tutorial will be just for you!

Join me in the initial phase of the descent into Alicante (LEAL/ALC) as we follow my operators’ procedures to deal with being held high.

This Approach includes the exact same shortcut you might expect in real life (I’ve flown this approach more times than I’ve had hot dinners!) which leads to being very high on profile. VNAV tells you DES PATH UNACHIEVABLE? I don’t think so!

Watch me as I apply useful techniques and guidance to ensure you’re fully stabilised safely before turning final.
