The 2020 Atlantic hurricane season continues with its newest member: Tropical Depression Eleven.
The system, which was monitored as Invest 95-L, is located about at least 900 miles west-southwest of the Cabo Verde Islands.
In the short term, environmental conditions are expected to become better for additional development, and hurricane center forecasters saw enough organization Tuesday to begin issuing advisories on the system.
As of Wednesday morning, August 12, it's possible Tropical Depression Eleven could eventually become a tropical storm named Josephine.
