The Mississippi State bench scored 52 points in the game, compared to just 27 for SMU. Five players scored in double-figures for SMU, with Kario Oquendo's 13 points leading the way. Matt Cross, Samet Yigitoglu, and Boopie Miller each scored 12 points for the Mustangs. For Mississippi State, KeShawn Murphy led the way with 16 points, seven rebounds, three blocks, two steals, and an assist.
