Raccoons are noisy. If you have a raccoon (or a raccoon family!!) living in your attic, you will hear it. Nocturnal animals, you're most likely to hear them at night.

Known to be extremely vocal, raccoons communicate using over 200 different sounds. Vocal noises include:
-Purring
-Chittering
-Growling
-Snarling
-Hissing
-Whimpering
-Screeching

As a somewhat larger pest animal, raccoons make noises while moving, constructing their dens, and gaining entry to your home. Typical noises include rustling or scurrying.

Raccoons in your home can wreak havoc. If you suspect you have a raccoon in your home, you need to have it humanely removed. Raccoons create damage constructing their dens, destroy insulation with their droppings, and can spread diseases.
