Carl Bosch Biography - German Chemist and Engineer and Nobel Laureate in Chemistry
He studied at the Polytechnic Institute of Charlottenburg (today the Technical University of Berlin) and, from 1892, at the University of Leipzig where he graduated in 1898.
In 1919 he took over the general management of BASF. In 1925 he was one of the founders of the company IG Farbenindustrie, an important group of German chemical companies resulting from the merger of BASF, Agfa and Hoechst, of which he would later become CEO between 1935 and 1940.
Bosch died on April 26, 1940 in the city of Heidelberg, located in the state of Baden-Württemberg.
