This is an information video about DSB's new InterCity Lightning Express train.
InterCity Lightning Express, is DSB’s newest attempt to create an express route between Copenhagen and Aarhus. So whether you are a tourist here in Denmark, or on a business trip. This is the video with all the information, you need to know about Denmark’s InterCity Lightning Express train.
With the introduction to the new train schedule ‘’K21’’, DSB also introduced a new train line between Copenhagen and Aarhus marked by the stripped blue line. But the difference between the normal InterCity Lightning, and the new InterCity Lightning Express, is that the InterCity Lightning Express train only stops in Odense, here marked by the arrows. The normal InterCity Lightning train between Copenhagen and Aarhus, stops in: Odense, Fredericia, Vejle, Horsens and Skanderborg, also marked by the arrows. Therefore a normal InterCity Lightning train, takes 7 more minutes.
Marked by the yellow, InterCity Lightning Express departs 4 times a day, from both Copenhagen and Aarhus central. And 2 times a day on Sundays. No InterCity Lightning Express trains depart on Saturdays.
The train operating on the InterCity Lightning Express, is the Italian designed IC4 otherwise known as MG.
On Fridays, two IC3 units, otherwise known as MF, will be operating between Copenhagen and Aarhus.
