Ooh, a box I'd eagerly been anticipating just arrived from Spain! Yay!
A while back Yedharo put out some great looking Orcs. They were quite detailed and reminded me of Dale Keown's artwork on comics like Pitt and the Hulk. Only issue was they were huge and made better Ogres than they did Orcs (which is exactly what I used them for, and they were still pretty big).
They also did some dwarfs, which were nice but nowhere near as wild as their orcs. So they came back to kickstarter last year and unleashed these guys.
I opted just for a basic unit of infantry, along with the champion models. There were female infantry, goblins, and cavalry as well.
Contact points needed a bit of cleaning to get them to sit flush, otherwise no real problems. Resin felt soft and pliable- something I've seen in other Spanish manufacturers before. Maybe from the same workshop? Regardless, it was easy to work with.
If you needed to find a use for them in Warhammer, I'd say they're pretty good Ironjawz proxies.
The champions though... ooh boy are they impressive! The male champion is almost big enough at 30mm scale to go toe to toe with a Ironjawz megaboss! I can only imagine what the 75mm version they made is like!
I feel there was an issue with the female champion. There was an extra contact point on her cloak, but not on her back. The parts didn't really line up well with the head of her lion skin. Maybe it's just me and it's fine? I'm not sure. A slight disappointment but it still looks stellar. Perhaps I'll just try reassembling her.
If you're interested, Yedharo is currently wrapping up a kickstarter for STL files of some of their existing models, along with a few new ones. They also started up a Patreon with a mix of old and new designs, and are currently taking suggestions on what to do next. Take a look if you're interested!
