About 20 percent of college-aged women report having experienced sexual assault or rape. With this growing pandemic of sexual assault and rape, entire college communities are becoming increasingly concerned about the safety of their students. . The Creating Sexually Safe Environments Course is designed to assuage the concerns of students and parents, and to provide colleges and universities the opportunity to proactively create safer environments for all of their students.
The course provides a transformative experience that makes both an immediate and lasting impact on participants' outlook and behavior. Specifically,
• Participants discover their known and unknown sexual desires and learn how to maturely and responsibly access and manifest them in their relationships with women.
• Participants confront the negative impact their unwanted advances toward women.
• Participants experience deep catharsis regarding the pain, shame, anger, or other destructive emotions they have regarding the unintentional aggression men express toward women (either first-hand, as observers, or in the abstract).
• Participants forge deep bonds of brotherhood with each other which serve as the foundation for trust, camaraderie, and partnership in creating a sexually safe environment in their respective organizations, teams, and programs, as well as across the entire college campus.
• Participants learn teamwork practices and leadership tools that create sexually safe environments for all students, thus transforming the culture of how students inter-relate in their intimate, romantic, and sexual relationships.
