The IPX5 waterproof test is based on multiple waterproof grade standards such as IEC60529 and EN60598. It is mainly tested for outdoor electrical appliances. Since they will be exposed to varying degrees of rain outdoors, the protection level of electrical appliances is very important.
The IPX5 waterproof test uses a stream of water to impact the product in a small area to detect whether water will enter the product when it is flushed with water. Therefore, when testing, try to detect the gaps in the product, which will make the detection more meaningful.
The equipment in this video is tested on small samples and only demonstrates the effect of water flow. We also have more and larger models that can meet the waterproof testing of different products.
