Early September 2021, we had a spell of really warm weather and I wasn't quite back flat out in work yet, so decided I would take the plunge and wild camp on top of a mountain. Had originally planned to have a friend along but timing didn't work out so I just went for it!
Ended up with a phone full of (what I think are) gorgeous photos and videos and a bent tent pole! The wind picked up quite a bit after dark and not an ounce of sleep was had! Lesson learned! It was worth it for the views both that eve and in the morning.
Lovely breakfast on the top (in a sheltery spot), a different route back down, and home for 11.30am, ready to head to work for the evening!
Buzzing all week after it!
