Lost and Stolen phones in India can be tracked and located using IMEI numbers very easily these days. Location of your stolen or lost phone can be found using the CEIR website rolled out by the government recently.The users will first have to register a police complaint and then use the website to block their IMEI number. After finding the phone, the users can also unblock their IMEI from the same website.CEIR - Central Electronics Identification Register has been rolled out by the government to help the users in tracking and locating missing, stolen or lost mobile phones in India. It will help you in blocking or unblocking IMEI too. A new portal introduced in the country is proving to be extremely useful and efficient in tracing lost or stolen mobile phones. Out of 5.6 lakh phones blocked in the country, 4.6 lakh have been traced.
