The state has defended itself against criticism leveled by the defence in the Transnet fraud and corruption trial, that its case is nowhere near close to prosecution.
The matter against 17 accused, including former senior executives Brian Molefe, Siyabonga Gama, and Anoj Singh, has been postponed to the 30th of November at the state's request for more time to allow for further investigation.
The defence has slammed the state for not providing a final indictment signed by the Director of Public Prosecution.
