The method of project management will determine the extent to which
changes are controlled. For example, in a predictive project it is very
important that changes be controlled where as in Agile project changes are embraced. Exactly what does that mean? How do I go about managing and controlling changes?
Today's seminar is about what is going on in my project and is controlling change important. We will be talking about the Agile app, uh, application, as well as, uh, other project management type applications. Here are some questions you need to answer in your own mind. Are your projects over budget? Are your projects behind schedule?
Do your projects provide more scope than is required or less scope than is required? You could add to it as well, are your projects chaotic? Do your projects go on forever and they never end? Are you overwhelmed by requests for change?
Do your Agile projects have a 12 month estimated completion, but five years later? They're still being worked on. Believe it or not, I had a man in one of my classes that was the case. As we think about that, if any of those conditions apply to you, then uh, your project is basically out of control, sadly to say.
