Original Advanced Jumbos are rare guitars. Extremely few and far between. Which is a real pity, because a AJ is possibly one of the best sounding and most rewarding guitars to play, of any kind. This is a replica that we made, with Brazilian rw back and sides, to complement the usual Alpine red spruce top, Honduran mahogany neck and Brazilian rosewood fingerboard. Graced with mother of pearl arrow head inlays.
The overall design, with the 25.4'' long scale and specific bracing (which was Gibson's attempt to build a D-28) makes this a unique sounding Gibson, in the realm of Gibson guitars. We love Advanced Jumbos, and we think you should, too!
