Introducing Libby, Libby was a happy and healthy baby up until 11 weeks old when her mother, being a nurse, realised that her vision was not as it should have been, and that she had ‘sunset eyes.’ They took her to her GP to get it checked and were advised to take her straight to hospital where she had an MRI scan, which found a tumour in the centre of her brain. The neurosurgeons performed a nine-hour surgery the next morning, which was fortunately successful.
This episode captures Libby’s close bond with her family, and the tireless support of her parents, who have been her strength during her journey. She talks candidly about her two brothers who have always been there for her, including her brother Seb who was inspired by Libby’s journey and now works for Children with Cancer UK.
