The upcoming Super Full Moon in Pisces is occurring on the 31st August at 1:36am GMT (2:36am British Summer Time) and at 18:36pm on 30th August in Pacific Standard Time. The Full Moon occurs at 7 degrees, and 25 minutes of Pisces. As with all Full Moons, the Sun directly opposes the Moon; the Sun is at 7 degrees, and 25 minutes of Virgo.

Full Moons are a culmination of energies, and often are a time of great intensity; a time of release, catharsis, crisis, completion, and reaping the fruits of one’s labour; they shed light on the truth, and reveal the reality of what has been in shadow, or hidden until now.

Super Full Moons are highly concentrated, and even more potent due to their closer proximity to earth, creating greater gravitational pull on our tides, bodies and emotions.

This Super Full Moon is also a Blue Moon, which is a rare instance of a second Full Moon in a calendar month. We last experienced a Blue Moon on 31st October 2020, and we won’t experience another until 2026.

This Full Moon in Pisces isn’t as spiritual and dreamy as it could be, due to a conjunction with Saturn, and the opposing Sun separating from a recent opposition with Saturn. So the energy is sobering, discerning and highlighting the need for us to take responsibility for what we may have been avoiding or ignoring.

Saturn in Pisces conjunct this Full Moon can support us to ground our dreams into reality, by taking practical, methodical steps towards a path we are in alignment with.
