Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh’s advanced security convoy was ambushed by suspected armed militants on its way to violence-hit Jiribam on June 10. One police personnel and a driver were injured in the attack. Manipur Chief Minister called the ambush an ‘attack directly on the CM and the state’.
