"Tears of Shiva" is a documentary that uncovers the ancient secrets and spiritual significance of the Katas Raj Complex in Pakistan, a mystical place where Hindu mythology meets history, and the tears of Lord Shiva are said to have created a sacred landscape of temples, ponds, and ruins.
FilmMaker Biography:
My name is Hannan Akbar and I am an independent filmmaker from Pakistan, with a deep-rooted passion for storytelling and filmmaking. I am currently pursuing my education at the School of Creative Arts (SOCA) at the University of Lahore, an institution known for nurturing some of the brightest creative talents in the country. From an early age, I was fascinated by the power of visual storytelling and how films can evoke emotions, shape perceptions, and spark meaningful conversations.
In 2023, I was honored to receive the award for Best Screenplay at the National Amateur Short Film Festival (NASFF), a prestigious event inaugurated by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). This recognition was a pivotal moment in my career, affirming my dedication to the craft and inspiring me to continue pushing the boundaries of storytelling.
