Mainz is a historic city located in western Germany, on the banks of the Rhine River. It serves as the capital of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate and is known for its rich history, especially as a center of the Holy Roman Empire and its association with Johannes Gutenberg, the inventor of the movable-type printing press.

Old Town (Altstadt):
Mainz's Old Town is a charming area filled with half-timbered houses, cobblestone streets, and lively squares. It’s a great place to wander around, grab a coffee, or enjoy a traditional meal at one of the many restaurants and cafes. The Augustinerstraße is a particularly beautiful street worth visiting.
