Foreign ministers from the EU's six founding member states scrambled for emergency talks in Berlin (pictured left) as they plotted to save the contagion of Brexit spreading across the continent and destroying the EU project. European leaders want negotiations over Britain’s separation to start immediately but outgoing Prime Minister David Cameron and his likely replacement Boris Johnson (pictured right, leaving his Oxfordshire house this morning) insist the Government will take its time over Britain’s withdrawal from the EU. Newspapers across the continent reacted with shock to the dramatic Brexit vote, but French newspaper Liberation scorned the decision, showing a front page (pictured inset) that simply read: ‘Good luck’ alongside the famous picture of Boris Johnson stuck on a zip wire waving two union flags.
