Matthew Donley was diagnosed with throat cancer in the US. However, his insurance wasn't very good and the cost of this major medical treatment in the US was astronomical. His wife had recently gotten treatment for skin cancer in Los Cabos, so Matt returned to Los Cabos for his treatment. I guess this is medical tourism in Mexico.
Matt received chemotherapy in Los Cabos and then spent a few months in La Paz receiving radiation treatments.
In this video, Matt tells his story of how he found doctors, who spoke English, how much treatment costs, the technology used and enjoying life in between treatments.
