In a virtual news conference, territorial ministers and government officials provide an update on the ongoing wildfire situation in the Northwest Territories. The update comes one day after evacuation orders were issued for residents of Yellowknife and several surrounding communities. Territorial ministers Shane Thompson (environment and climate change and municipal and community affairs) and Caroline Wawzonek (finance and industry, tourism and investment) are joined by Yellowknife Mayor Rebecca Alty and a number of government officials.
