Two years to the day since we first visited and filmed the Apedale Valley Light Railway, we return again to see the last day of trains through the Apedale Valley, with Decauville Edgar in steam for its first full day of passenger trains at AVLR, a real treat for SJ and myself.
After a nice hike through the Apedale Country Park before the trains started, we descended down to Apedale Road station for a journey back to Silverdale (shown in full) and a cup of tea.
There's footage of three runs from Edgar, with the last one echoeing the finale of our visit two years ago, viewed from inside the engine shed.
Big thanks to the great crew at AVLR for their warm welcome and hospitality.
Thanks SJ for company.
Almost out of steam locomotives to film for 2022!
