Shopping in Paris is a high-contact sport for a lot of people. For me, it is usually a spectator sport. I love to window shop and browse without spending any money. That is exactly what I did today at BHV Marais. It was pouring rain and I was walking by so I decided to go in and see what was up inside.

The BHV, "Bazaar Hotel the Ville" is in the Marais. It is a posh-ish department store where you can buy high-end designer clothing, food, and cookware. There is also a café where you can have a bite to eat.

I enjoyed about an hour there today, within the framework of a day full of other activities. I was really trying to kill some time as I waited to go to a Sotheby's auction across town but I a so glad I made that detour.
