Mexico’s navy seized nearly eight tons of drugs in two separate operations in the Pacific Ocean. Helicopter footage from the navy showed a high-speed boat chase southwest of Manzanillo. During the first operation, the navy found 5.6 tonnes of drugs in three motorboats and arrested 15 people, marking the biggest drug seizure of the current administration. In the second operation, the navy confiscated 1.6 tonnes of drugs near the coastal city of Lazaro Cardenas in Michoacan state.
