This is a very sad subject and unfortunately "Eau Top"s last race...... His fall was absolutely horrendous and very sadly led to his death...... (don't worry it's not showed here).... However, the fall occurred from what I saw, on/after the finish line, but because Eau Top was classed as a faller, punters were not paid out - here I show the race up leading up to the fall, so you can judge for yourselves.
Daryl Jacob the jockey riding Eau Top, other than a couple of bruises was unhurt in this incident.......
Unfortunately, this is the sad side of racing, that often makes me regret making a living from the sport. After seeing the finish of this race (unshown here), it disturbed me that much, I quit trading for the day and it still affected me mentally and my trading, for a few days afterwards.
I should also mention Cape Milano, who unfortunately also died that same day, just a few races earlier, (13:50/first race at Warwick) Although his fall and death was hidden from the camera's as he was further back in the field as the camera's were following the leaders.
Strangely enough, both horses had the cloth number "8" - Obviously, not a lucky number for them on that day!
