In early 2019, Kartik decided to take the GMAT, starting his preparation with Official Guide. A 610 score in the first official mock test and a 570 in 2nd were an eye-opener for him, and he figured out early on that just regular practicing won’t do the job for him. This is when he decided to switch to a more interactive way of preparing, where he could get frequent feedback points based on data, to help him improve in his weak areas and reach his target score.
A few aspects that Kartik felt helped him make an impressive jump from 570 in the mocks to 740 in the actual GMAT test, and a V27 to V41 in GMAT Verbal are:
1) Understood the importance of Meaning + Grammar in GMAT Sentence Correction in particular and Verbal as a whole
2) Avoided getting tricked by correct looking answer choices, by understanding what the GMAT actually tests
3) Leveraged feedback points from Scholaranium to improve in his weak areas
4) Used impeccable note-taking skills to develop an intuition towards concepts and their implementation
