Specifics: The paint of this binocular is not the original. It was serviced by a military repairing dept. in 1966. The service stamp is the "Diamond with 66". The term Бл stands for the russian "Бинокль Легкий" ("Lightweight Binocular/Version"). It is basically a standard Б8х30 made from a lightweight alloy - (aluminium/zink). This was a prototype to substitute a common magnesium alloy. However this idea failed.The alu-zink alloy tended to corrode in some harsh environments and the major part of all Бл8х30 were written off.
