This dish is very staple and favourite of Karnataka. I have combined this with a North Karnataka Khanavali Style Curry which tastes delicious

Ingredients:
For Akki Rotti Preparation:

Sufficient for 8 rottis
1) Water - 2 cups
2) Rice flour - 1 cup
For Badnekayi ( Brinjal Curry) Palya Preparation:
=================================================
1) Oil - 2 tbsp
2) Jeera - 2 tsp
3) Green chillies - 2 to 3
4) Haldi - 1/2 tsp
5) Kasoori methi - 2 tbsp
6) Onions - 1(Chopped) medium
7) Tomato - 1 ( chopped ) Large
8) Brinjal - 150 grams ( 12 pieces small )
9) Vangi Bhat Masala - 1 tsp
10) Garam Masala - 1 tsp
11) Cashewnut paste - 2 tbsp
12) Curd ( Yogurt ) - 3 tbsp
18) Salt to taste
Tips n Tricks:
1) You can adjust the consistency of the curry by adding little water.
2) If you are using store brought rice flour it may take up 1 and 3/4 cup of water whereas homemade flour will take upto 2 cups of water.
3) If the dough is dry, rottis will break while rolling, if that happens add a tbsp or two of boiling water and knead the dough and you can easily roll the rottis.
4) Since the dough is soft you need to carefully roll the dough.
