Several State Teachers of the Year offered suggestions about how to best recruit and retain talented educators at a convening AIR hosted in Washington, D.C., in May 2019. The National Teachers of the Year event, organized by AIR’s partners and colleagues at the Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO), brought together top teachers to discuss critical issues in the field, including educator shortages.
