Denise Brosseau is a thought leadership strategist, speaker, business advisor, executive coach and author. Her book, Ready to Be a Thought Leader? was published by Wiley (Jossey-Bass) in January, 2014. Harvard Business Review called it "a likable, practical book for seasoned executives who have achieved financial success but now want greater influence."
Denise is the CEO of Thought Leadership Lab, a boutique professional services firm which specializes in building leaders into thought leaders -- increasing their 'discoverability,' amplifying their social influence and catalyzing strategic connections that lead to a seat at the table for the conversations that matter. Thought Leadership Lab provides thought leadership consulting to executives and teams, leadership development programs for women leaders, executive coaching and large meeting facilitation.
Clients include Medtronic, Agilent and Bank of America, as well as start-up CEOs, social entrepreneurs and senior leaders in education, law, foundations, consulting and investment firms. She has also developed women's leadership programs for Liberty Global, the Anita Borg Institute for Women in Computing, Nimble Storage, Gracenote, Women's President's Organization and many others. Her clients say she pushes them to think much bigger and achieve much more than they ever did without her.
Denise has spoken to tens of thousands of people worldwide, at companies like Roche, Microsoft and KPMG, leadership conferences, including the Indiana Governor's Conference, organizations like Coro and ACNL and college campuses, including Wellesley, Berkeley and Stanford. She also facilitates strategy sessions, retreats and thought leadership development sessions for corporations and associations. Her expertise has been featured in major media outlets, including Inc.com, Salesforce.com and Monster.com.
In May 2014, Denise was honored by the Silicon Valley Business Journal as among their Top 100 Women of Influence. A Wellesley graduate with a Stanford MBA, Denise began her career in the technology industry at companies like Motorola. She was the founding CEO of the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs (FWE). She grew FWE (now Watermark) into the country’s leading organization for women-led start-ups. In 1999, she co-founded Springboard, the prestigious women’s startup launch pad that has led to over $6 billion in funding for women entrepreneurs.
