The cost of the Dhaka-Mawa-Bhanga Expressway project is expected to grow again as the authorities undertake more work, mostly to maintain road safety.
The project comprises the building of around 20 footbridges as well as the refurbishment of the Mawa and Pachchar roundabouts.
If the updated plan is accepted, the project's cost would rise to Tk 11,043 crore, a Tk 40 crore increase from the present cost.
Furthermore, the project deadline has already been pushed out to June 2022.
