Full HD video of the attempt of a novice crew, the Old Dogs, to complete the famous and famously-tough Scottish Islands Peaks Race (SIPR) 2013. The race involves a 4 mile run around Oban, a sail to Mull, an ascent of Ben More Mull, a sail to Craighouse Bay of Jura, an ascent of the Paps of Jura, a sail around the infamous Mull of Kintyre to Lamlash Bay on Arran, an Ascent of Goat Fell and finally a sail to Troon for the finish - totalling 60 miles of mountain running, 11,500 feet of ascent and 160 miles of sailing - accomplished in 2-4 days. The race is held annually: in 2013, 38 yachts started and 21 finished the race, the others having retired at various points around the course, mostly due to a lack of wind.
