PEPPERMINT 10 SERIES [Part 1 of 3]
In this walkthrough, we'll go through the step-by-step process of installing the Linux distro Peppermint 10 over Windows XP Pro to revive an old 2008 laptop.
Please note, by following the steps in this video, all data will be deleted from your computer hard drive so if you have any precious files on your computer that haven't been backed up elsewhere then perhaps do that first before installing Peppermint OS.

0:01:12 Connect a blank USB drive
0:01:23 Find Peppermint OS download
0:03:10 Download Peppermint OS
0:04:13 Download & install RUFUS
0:07:49 Open RUFUS
0:08:14 Load Peppermint ISO into RUFUS
0:09:12 Write ISO to USB
0:10:00 Eject USB drive from computer
0:10:29 Insert USB to target computer
0:10:39 Connect an ethernet cable (or wifi)
0:11:09 Check boot order in BIOS
0:12:10 Start computer
0:12:43 Select Install Peppermint OS
0:13:19 Select your language
0:13:19 Choose your keyboard layout
0:13:43 Select Install Peppermint OS
0:13:48 Tick Install 3rd-party software
0:14:26 Select Erase disk & install Peppermint
0:14:32 Select Encrypt & Use LVM
0:14:40 Create encryption password
0:14:55 Write changes to disks? Continue
0:15:06 Choose your time zone
0:15:12 Choose names & password
0:15:33 Wait for install to complete
0:16:04 Installation complete. Restart Now
0:16:38 Shut down computer
0:16:44 Remove USB flash drive
0:16:50 Turn on computer
0:17:12 Enter encryption password
0:17:36 Enter login password
